Boost Traffic With Web 2.0 Marketing

Now we’re going to look into boosting the traffic to your website using web 2.0, but before we get that far it’s important to understand exactly what web 2.0 is. It can be difficult to get a clear definition as to what web 2.0 actually means, it has many different features and many of these can be used to get traffic to your website.

This phenomenon basically focuses on an interactive web, a community shares information and details with other users, while these other users are also able to comment on the information. If your website is about a unique area then you could well end up receiving thousands of hits through using these forms of marketing.

People like to see exciting sites, and these certainly aren’t sites that contain lots of just plain boring text. For your site to be exciting it must contain photos, audio and video. People like to be able to interact with the site.

If you look at the global top 500 websites on Alexa.com then you will see that most of them are actually community websites, people visit these in their thousands every single day! If you think about it and develop a unique topic then you can get a lot of traffic in a very short period of time. You need to think about text, photos, audio and of course video.

If you can write articles then you can submit them to a number of different places, like technorati for example. Members will be able to read your articles, if they think it is good then they can vote good, if it’s bad then they will vote bad. Depending on how many people think it is good your article will become a hot topic and hopefully read by thousands of people. By increasing interest in your topic, hopefully people will also follow the links back to your website.

If you’re good at creating art then you can use this to your advantage too! No matter whether you are good at taking photos, sketching or creating digital art you can submit these to flickr.com this will we seen by thousands of people that will appreciate it for what it is. If this is done properly it can get a lot of new business to your site, and best of all this method is free. It can get thousands of visitors to your site, and it doesn’t cost a dime.

If you have created a series of videos that is funny, educational or both then you can submit this to one of the video exchanges such as youtube.com or Google video. Thousands upon thousands of people will view your video and make comments about it; this could make you a very famous camera man in just a few hours!

So web 2.0 is all about being creative, the more creative you can be the more traffic you stand to gain. With a little bit of hard work you can give your internet traffic a much needed boost.
